Job summary

Origence is shaping the future of lending with fintech leadership and AI-powered innovation. We are seeking a Sr Software Engineer to design, code, mentor, and drive high-quality software across our SaaS lending solutions.

You will work closely with Principal Engineers and Development Managers, applying agentic AI practices and modern web frameworks to deliver robust applications with strong governance and security.

• Six years of professional software development experience in business processes or financial services.

The Sr Software Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of new software applications and the maintenance and enhancement of Origences various software products and solutions. They assist in the successful execution of projects with minimal direction and guidance and serve as senior technical contributors and mentors within the team

How Youll Contribute

• Spend approximately 90% of your time actively designing and coding in support of the immediate team and 10% researching new technology coaching and mentoring other engineers
• Incorporate agentic AI development practices into day to day engineering using tools such as Claude Code CLI to accelerate design implementation code review testing and refactoring while upholding code quality security and governance standards and validating all AI assisted output
• As a senior member of the development team provide feedback and training where necessary and ensure that technical initiatives align with organizational goals working closely with Principal Engineers and Development Managers
• As a full stack engineer assigned to the product project ensure performance maintainability and functional requirements are met by design and development through testing rollout and support
• Collaborate with cross engineering staff on hardware and system monitoring requirements to ensure the expected performance and reliability of the application system developed
• Proactively communicate and work to mitigate changes to project timelines and degradation in application performance and troubleshoot and resolve production issues

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Education: Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Experience: A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience ideally in business process automation or financial services applications
• A minimum of 5 years experience with NET C and Windows tools and languages as well as modern web frameworks Angular via TypeScript React or VueSolid
• Understanding of data repository models is required; experience with both SQL Microsoft SQL Server and NoSQL is preferred
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies Domain Driven Design TestBehavior Driven Design event driven design via asynchronous messaging and microservice architecture
• Preferred experience ASPNET WCF Web Services NServiceBus Azure Cloud and Infrastructure Code IaCDevOps experience as a full stack developer owning the full software development lifecycle
• Hands on experience with agentic AI development workflows and AI assisted coding tools specifically Claude Code CLI or comparable agentic CLI tooling applied to real development tasks within a governed SDLC
• Strong track record of writing unit and integration tests for all code produced

• Skilled at integrating agentic AI tooling eg Claude Code CLI into the development lifecycle with sound judgment about when to apply AI assistance and how to review test and secure AI generated code

The starting salary range for this full time position is 128600 160800 per year We offer competitive compensation designed to recognize the value experience and contributions each team member brings to Origence Base pay is determined by factors including experience geographic location and internal equity and eligible positions may participate in our annual bonus program
