Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a software engineer for an on-site Florida position requiring a U.S. government security clearance. You will participate in cross-functional teams, drive the full software lifecycle from architecture to field support, and operate within mature SEI processes.

The role emphasizes C++ development, RTOS/embedded systems, and collaboration across engineering disciplines. A STEM degree with 5+ years (or advanced degree with 3+ years) is typical.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience in Software Engineering to include experience working various phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Software Development Using C++.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded programming, processor/board architecture and design.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment that requires communication with other engineering disciplines, Program, and external stakeholders.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
