Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work within a development team to assist in leading significant scope and drive complex projects to completion.
Produce maintainable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise and ownership for your team’s services.
Collaborate with the product team, architects, and others to document features and
changes.
Participate in peer design and code reviews.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the potential to extend or convert. Successful candidates love creating solutions that deliver results. For this role, we offer two days a week of telecommuting!

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Proven experience working within a development team to lead significant scope and drive complex projects to completion.
5+ years of strong software engineering and software architecture background in languages such as Golang, Python, and SQL.
5+ years of Experience building RESTful APIs and/or gRPC within a distributed microservice
3+ years experience implementing Amazon Web Services like IAM, Lambda, EKS, Neptune, DynamoDB, RDS.
3+ years experience using IaC tooling such as Terraform
In-depth Experience with Docker.
Experience with metrics, monitoring, and visualization tools (e.g. DataDog).
Experience working in data pipelining and ETL processes.
Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with relational, graph, and NoSQL databases.
Experience with Spark/PySpark and Amazon EMR
Experience with Snowflake
AWS Certification(s)
Experience with OWASP, Cryptography, and PCI Data Security.
Experience with DEVOPS patterns and tooling (Gitlab, Datadog, Helm)
