Job summary

FAMU National Alumni Association is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain Python microservices using Kafka for messaging and Elasticsearch for indexing, deployed in Kubernetes. You will collaborate on system design, testing, and secure, observable delivery in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Python, containerization, ETL, Linux, and CI/CD, along with active Top Secret/SCI clearance and polygraph eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s with 6+ years.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.
• Hands-on Python, containerization, ETL, Linux, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD experience.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and at least 6 years; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree. Candidates must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph, with hands-on Python, containerization, ETL, Linux, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD experience.
