- Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Role
- Time Zone: U.S. Eastern Time (ET)
About the Role
Kopius is seeking Sr Software Engineers to join our team on a long-term engagement with a leading global consumer goods and beverages company.
This is a chance to join at a pivotal moment: helping define modern engineering practices and building high-impact digital products in one of the most recognized global brands. The work spans customer journeys, service delivery, sales workflows, and the platforms that connect them — including customer-facing experiences, connected service tools, data and API platforms, and sales products that equip field teams with better visibility, insights, and execution capabilities.
You will join an empowered, cross-functional team (Product, Design, Engineering) operating under a modern product operating model. This means teams are empowered to solve problems, not just build features; accountable for outcomes, not output; collaborative by default from discovery through delivery; and continuously learning, using data and customer insight to improve.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver full-stack features end-to-end across Java, Node.js, React, and Python services
- Build and extend Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning components, and platform best practices
- Own quality across the stack — write clean, testable code, drive TDD and test coverage, and collaborate closely with QA on integration and end-to-end testing
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, reliable delivery
- Bring product thinking to engineering conversations — understand the business outcomes, propose technical approaches, and challenge assumptions when they don't serve the product
- Partner with Product, Design, and other engineers in an empowered, cross-functional team model
- Champion engineering best practices — code quality, code reviews, design patterns, and modern DevOps discipline
- Support production operations, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of the platform
Basic Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with client engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders
- Product mindset — cares about users, outcomes, and why things are built, not just how
- Engaged, embedded consultant posture — comfortable operating inside a client's team, culture, and pace, not as an outside vendor
- Engineering excellence orientation — cares about code quality, testing discipline, and delivery rigor across the full stack
- Technical judgment — makes smart tradeoffs, avoids over-engineering, and manages risk proactively
- Self-directed and proactive — able to own scope and drive delivery without heavy supervision
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership over deliverables, product quality, and team outcomes
- Thrives in collaborative team environments and contributes to shared goals
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution
Technical Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with Java, Node.js, React, and Python — comfortable moving across front-end and back-end
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Apex development, including Lightning components
- Strong testing and QA discipline — TDD, unit testing, integration testing, and collaboration with QA on end-to-end quality
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, code quality standards, and API design
- Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and cloud environments
- Proficiency with Git and modern source control workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Nice to have: Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) or Salesforce Flow
- Nice to have: Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Nice to have: Exposure to data engineering, ML-enabled features, or event-driven architectures
- Nice to have: Prior consulting or embedded engineering experience with enterprise clients
- Nice to have: Experience building customer-facing products at scale
Who Thrives in This Role
- Engineers who are curious about customers and how products create value
- Engineers who enjoy collaborating and debating ideas across disciplines (Product, Design, Data)
- Engineers who take pride in both what they build and why it matters
- Engineers who bring a growth mindset — curious, empowered, inclusive, and agile
