Are you driven by new technology and building software to solve complex business problems? Do you want to work on high-impact, business-critical projects in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment? If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

We are looking for a passionate senior software engineer to join a high-visibility team in AWS US ADC Security, where you'll make a direct, positive impact on the customer experience. You'll help build technology for new business initiatives, including grounds-up product development.

In this role you will:
  • Build innovative, high-volume, full-stack applications leveraging AWS and common industry standards
  • Partner with key stakeholders, both domestic and international, who use our platform to streamline government security clearance workflow processes
  • Manage globally regionalized resources, implement enhanced security measures, and build microservices for data exploration and visualization of business insights across AWS
  • Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using cloud-native architectural patterns
  • Own solutions end-to-end, pushing your design and architecture limits

You should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, and consistently deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Design scalable and fault-tolerant platform components that power full-stack applications for building compelling user experiences
  • Collaborate with admin users and product teams on UX design to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes, and transform them into engaging experiences
  • Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and processes used by teams across AWS
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews
  • Dive deep into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility
  • Mentor teammates to promote engineering excellence
A day in the life

You’ll spend your day designing and building full-stack applications that power internal tooling for Security Engineers across the ADC space. Expect a mix of hands-on coding, peer code reviews, and diving deep into client and server systems to optimize for performance, scalability, and reliability.

You’ll collaborate with product teams and admin users on UX design, propose new features, and prototype ideas quickly. You’ll also partner with business leaders and other AWS engineering teams to turn new business initiatives into shipped product, while mentoring teammates along the way.
