Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) invites experienced software engineers to join a new hardware engineering team in Seattle. This full-time role focuses on distributed systems development across storage, HSM, AI accelerators architectures, using C++/Java/Python.

As a member of an agile, fast-paced team, you will own components end-to-end, collaborate across AWS organizations, and help scale cloud infrastructure while solving complex reliability and security challenges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for scalable systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications with languages: C++, Java, or Python.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and integrate BMC features for new Cloud platform storage, HSM, AI accelerators architectures
• Support day to day AWS Cloud production issues to keep AWS Cloud hardware infrastructure availability capacity
• Collaborate with multiple AWS organizations to meet the customer workloads and data security requirements
• Innovate leveraging AI tools new secure manageability and monitoring solutions that can scale across million servers across AWS regions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSU). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
