Job summary

AMD, a leader in advanced computing and graphics, is hiring for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to research, design, develop, and test OS-level software and related tools for semiconductor operations.

You will work on compilers, systems software, and network distribution software, driving architecture and platform development. Qualifications include a Master's in CS/CE/EE and at least one year of related experience, with hands-on skills in LLVM, GPU programming, and C/C++.

Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Software Development Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. Understand and define software requirements and architectures. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and internet-related tools. Define proprietary platforms, including hardware and software components. Drive software and systems solutions including development and product definitions. Work with cross-functional teams including engineers to develop systems-level software, working on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results with little to no supervision. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company systems and products.
