OCH Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the FAA's NAS Defense Program. The role requires full stack development and documentation, with strong expertise in React, Angular, Node.js or Python, and Oracle/PostgreSQL.

Remote position with responsibilities spanning UI wireframes, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD/pipeline support. Candidates must hold a Secret level clearance and have Linux and Docker experience.

Job description

OCH Technologies is hiring a Sr. Software Developer a position supporting the FAA's NAS Defense Program. The ideal candidate will provide full stack development and documentation support for the FAA. Candidate must have strong expertise in React or another modern framework (Angular, Vue, etc.), Node.js, or Python and Oracle Database.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Participating in team and stakeholder discussions and providing recommendations when possible.
• Creating UI wireframes on new software functionality to be implemented.
• Creating and updating application documentation with detail.
• Participating in team coding exercises, paired programming, and performing code reviews and pull-request approvals.
• Participating in detailed analysis of functional and technical design discussion.
• Supporting Technical and Maintenance activities including security and deficiency assessments, resolution of technical issues affecting system performance, architecture development and system modernization recommendations.
• Requirements gathering, testing, and providing configuration management including software release management, automated pipeline support, and containerization support.
• Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.

Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math or Science

Experience:

• A minimum of eight (8)+ years of relevant experience
• Experience developing Web Applications using React/Angular/ Node.js and Oracle/ Postgres
• Familiarity with Linux based operating systems
• Experience developing and supporting docker-based web applications
• Experience with Atlassian products including JIRA, Bitbucket, or Confluence

Security Clearance Requirement:

Candidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kafka
• Familiarity with GIS technologies (Esri, ArcGIS, Mapbox, GeoServer)
• Experience with Go/GoLang programming language
• Experience implementing CI/CD systems
• Experience with React and Node
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Experience creating UI design of wire frame diagram

Other Required Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
