Job description

Type: Full-Time

We’re Blue Bear, a social media agency based in Denver that helps consumer brands turn social content into real business outcomes, and we’re looking for a Sr. Social Media Manager to help us do it.

This is a role for someone who is chronically online. You’re endlessly curious, comfortable in the gray area, and energized by finding ways to accomplish new things for the first time. You can jump into the voice of one brand in the morning and another by lunch, and you treat every account’s growth like it’s personal, because to us, it is.

You’ve grown engaged communities from the ground up. You turn messy numbers into clear insights. You love testing, innovating and learning out loud, and you have a knack for teaching your craft to the people around you. If that sounds like you, read on.

Essential Functions
Social Engagement
  • Own the social presence on key accounts, leading engagement, holding the quality bar high, and keeping deliverables on time.
  • Help set social benchmarks and chase the metrics that ladder up to each brand’s business objectives.
  • Build editorial and content strategies that actually pull the right people in and keep them coming back.
  • Help in creating breakthrough original content, and reshape existing assets so they land natively wherever they live.
  • Partner with our paid team to boost the right posts and add fuel to bigger campaign moments.
  • Lead the development and presentation of the deliverables that move work forward: content, platform and audience insights, editorial calendars, and content concepts.
  • Assist in building out monthly and quarterly reporting for your clients, turning performance into insight; what the content did, how audiences behaved, what competitors are up to, and the best‑in‑class examples worth learning from.
  • Collaborate with the Account Strategy team to sharpen insights and shape the narrative of each quarterly report.
  • Help your team members grow by sharing what you know, teaching real skills, and giving feedback that makes the work better.
  • Keep the bar high by following our processes and best practices, trading ideas and learnings, and always looking for ways to make the work better.
Creator Marketing
  • Run the day‑to‑day on creator marketing programs for select clients: finding right‑fit creators, coordinating outreach, supporting briefs, and helping bring on‑brand collaboration posts to life.
  • Be the point of contact for a small group of creators from first outreach through publishing, making the experience smooth and building relationships that last.
  • Track creator activity, content status, and key learnings, so the internal and client teams understand which creators, content, and collaborations are driving the strongest results.
  • Work with the Account Strategist and the wider team to keep creator content aligned with the client’s social strategy, content calendar, brand voice, and campaign priorities.
Client Relationships
  • Earn client trust by presenting work with confidence, sharing insights before you’re asked and being the go‑to when a question comes up.
  • Lead the presentation of key deliverables, walking in prepared and ready for questions that come your way.
Social Knowledge And Leadership
  • Stay genuinely in the know on everything social: trending topics, emerging platforms, algorithm shifts, etc.
  • Spot emerging trends early, bring them to the team, and own the plan for putting our clients right in the middle of them.
  • Be a go‑to for social best practices, from publishing guidelines to KPI benchmarks to channel growth strategy, inside Blue Bear and with clients.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • You manage your time, your details, and your priorities well enough to juggle multiple clients and deliverables without dropping the ball.
  • You can sell an idea, guide others, and hold a high bar for your own work and the SMM team’s.
  • You roll with the punches and adapt fast when things change.
  • You know when to push creative boundaries but also when to color inside the lines.
  • You’re an exceptional writer and communicator who can take on different brand tones and styles with ease.
  • You carry yourself like a pro with clients and act as a Blue Bear ambassador outside of work.
  • You’re a true collaborator who does your best work alongside a team.
  • You’re proactive, solution‑oriented, dependable, and accountable.
  • You know your way around social management and measurement tools like Sprout Social and the native platforms’ business and ad managers.
  • You keep business relationships, personnel matters, and proprietary information confidential.
  • You’ve got baseline Canva and Capcut chops.
  • You’re comfortable in Google Workspace / G Suite.
  • Experience with Claude and/or Cowork is a plus, not a requirement.
The Goods
  • Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 Base Salary (Dependent on experience)
  • Profit‑sharing, generous PTO & benefits package
  • Culture: We work hard, but we’re human first. We value collaboration, rapid feedback, and people who are serious about doing great work for awesome brands
