Job summary

Disney Experiences seeks a Sr Site Reliability Engineer for the Connected Products team in Technology & Digital. You will design, deploy, and support embedded device solutions and RF/IoT applications across Disney’s parks, resorts, and experiences.

You will lead reliability efforts, manage Linux/Windows environments, participate in on‑call rotations, and collaborate with Security Operations to implement secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Applied understanding of observability principles and monitoring tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Proven ability to collaborate in building reliable and scalable enterprise systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis in large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security practices.
• Experience leading technical projects and ensuring successful delivery.
• Ability to partner with Security Operations to implement secure solutions.

We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Connected Products organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences.

The Sr Site Reliability Engineer will report to the Manager of Technology.

About The Role & Team

The Connected Products organization is responsible for the design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing support of embedded device solutions and RF/IoT applications. In addition, the team supports a variety of camera-based initiatives, including computer vision, facial recognition, and other advanced sensing technologies.

What You\'ll Do

• Implement, support, and optimize complex sensor systems that integrate multiple protocols and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and enhance electrical, mechanical, and sensor-based systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Configure, calibrate, and validate hardware parameters to achieve optimal system operation.
• Manage and administer Linux and Windows environments, while learning and supporting proprietary device platforms.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents, system failures, and operational issues outside of standard business hours.
• Develop technical documentation, training materials, and service procedures for technicians and support teams.
• Conduct routine system assessments, preventative maintenance, and calibration verification activities.
• Maintain cybersecurity platforms and support vulnerability management efforts across the department.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Applied understanding of observability principles and associated monitoring tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Proven ability to collaborate in building reliable and scalable enterprise systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve root causes in large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security practices.
• Experience leading technical projects and ensuring successful delivery.
• Ability to partner effectively with Security Operations teams to implement secure solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across systems, networking, and application code.
• Proficiency with RF technologies and connected devices, with a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development, including an interest in emerging data engineering tools and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience working with distributed systems.
• Expertise in Bluetooth and NFC technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management and cybersecurity platforms such as Wiz.io.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.

Benefits and Compensation

• A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $135,200 to $181,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
