Job summary

Insight Global seeks a senior Shopify ecommerce specialist to build and customize branded Shopify stores and themes in Rockville, MD. You will optimize conversions and work across campaigns with a focus on reliable performance.

You will collaborate with client and vendor teams in a multi-brand environment, implement storefront features, integrate apps, and ensure robust testing, analytics, and support to keep platforms running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Broad shop construction, launch, and maintenance expertise.
• Proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, DOM understanding.
• Experience with a custom theme and Shopify APIs.
• Knowledge of Liquid templating and Headless Shopify.
• Experience integrating Shopify apps and building unique solutions.
• Proficiency with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6.
• Knowledge of Shopify object/properties, AJAX, and Metafields.
• Testing/debugging with browser tools and cross-device responsiveness.
• Experience with WordPress and custom email templates (Liquid).
• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in ecommerce/shopify domains.

Job Description

• Create an engaging and knowledgeable online Shopify store along with bespoke Shopify themes and change pre-existing templates per pre-defined brand guidelines to increase sales and revenue along with site’s conversion rates by optimizing website
• Be an expert in all aspects of the eCommerce platform management, working with various client and vendor teams in a multi-vendor environment.
• Create multi brand microsites and an integrated marketplace with a common backend for site management, Enhance the functionality of the pre-existing environment
• Client Communication - understand the concepts and gather requirements prepare plans and execute them in a systematic manner
• Ability to understand and coordinate with providers of various value-added services like Finance and Taxation, Fraud Management, Chargeback Management, Subscriptions, Payment Gateway, Order Management, Email and Checkout Customization, etc. for issue resolution, integration and customization
• Handle business across entire platform including perform order fulfilment duties as well as Customer Service agents tasks as and when required
• Work with the UX and UI Design Teams to create unique, strong, and inventive front-end user experiences
• Ensure a smooth connection with Database Tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps to optimize the shop for overall efficiency and functionality
• Test and debug websites in various environments, regularly to improve performance, add enhancements, new brand & campaign microsites
• Should have exposure to collect site usage, order and customer data for periodical offline analytics, using tools like MS Excel, CSV and other Reporting platforms like Power BI
• Provide technical support and coordination, protecting enterprises against failure

Skills and Requirements

• Broad shop construction, launch, and maintenance expertise, as well as a general understanding of the admin system
• Proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as a thorough grasp of the DOM
• Previous experience working with a custom theme and/or the Storefront API/Admin API
• Working knowledge of Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating along with Headless architecture
• Previous experience implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions if needed
• In-depth knowledge and expertise with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks along with server side programming
• Working knowledge of Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
• Extensive testing and debugging abilities using the browser console and other tools
• Prior experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• Working knowledge of third-party services and APIs, as well as Shopify plugins
• Capability to communicate effectively and provide proactive feedback
• Sound knowledge of Wordpress
• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in ecommerce domains and shopify platforms
• Knowledge of vue.js, Hands on experience on msexcel, github, shopify
• Previous experience working on shopify Graphql(queries and mutations)
• Create custom email templates based on liquid programming
• Sound knowledge of how business works on an ecommerce platform
• Ability to tweak codes as per requirements and build optimal logic based codes
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills along with tasks ownerships
