Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Sr. SharePoint Developer / Graphic Design Support in Springfield, VA.

The role emphasizes developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, enhancing branding and UX, and producing visually engaging content for leadership briefs and strategic materials. You will collaborate with leadership to improve information sharing, design consistent layouts, and implement front-end enhancements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph. Can sponsor for a polygraph.
• BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of related SharePoint development experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in analysis, design, hands‑on development, and delivery of web‑based applications.
• 3+ years of experience with SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint SE.
• Demonstrated experience supporting SharePoint branding, page design, and user experience improvement.
• Experience creating and customizing SharePoint workflows in SharePoint Designer.
• Experience creating customized InfoPath forms.
• Experience building and supporting all aspects of SharePoint, including sites, site collections, master pages, templates, web parts, content types and policies, lists, libraries, workflows, authentication, security groups, permissions, and customizations.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal and external SharePoint sites.
• Improve the visual design, layout, branding, and usability of SharePoint pages and published content.
• Create and maintain visually compelling digital products that improve information sharing and user engagement.
• Provide graphic design, publishing, and media support for a wide variety of materials.
• Create and edit visual content for strategic plans, leadership briefs, training materials, outreach products, and general information pages.
• Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to enhance organizational content, reports, briefs, dashboards, and other user-facing products.
• Apply modern design principles to improve readability, accessibility, consistency, and overall presentation across SharePoint-hosted content.
• Support SharePoint branding, customization, and page design using front-end web technologies and platform-native capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize templates, page layouts, and visual identity across sites and publications.
• Translate complex information into intuitive and visually effective content for a broad range of users.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Strong user interaction, requirements gathering, and business analysis skills.
• Understanding of SharePoint business intelligence capabilities.
• Understanding of PKI infrastructure and certificates.
• Experience with PowerShell SharePoint module and scripting.
• Experience with SharePoint application architecture and information management.
• Experience using SharePoint for document management and website publishing.
• Experience in graphic design, visual communications, page layout, branding, and publication support.
• Experience creating infographics, charts, dashboards, and other visual products for executive or organizational audiences.
• Ability to balance technical SharePoint development with business‑facing design and publishing requirements.
• Microsoft certifications preferred.
