Job Title: Sr. ServiceNow Developer
Location: 501, Fifth Avenue, Suite 805 New York, NY 10017
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience, typically 8+ years of IT Service Management / ServiceNow experience
● At least five years of software development and three years of ServiceNow application development
● Good understanding of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
● Solid experience working with CMDB and Software and Hardware Asset Management modules in ServiceNow.
● ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification
● Self-motivated and creative
● At least 2 years of experience implementing a specific ServiceNow module such as CMDB, HR, Service Portal, Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management etc.
● Experience with ServiceNow version control and update sets
● Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and skipped update remediation.
● Previous experience mentoring others and conducting peer reviews
● Strong problem solving abilities and communication skills
● Experience with SDLC methodologies like Agile, Kanban, Scrum, Scaled Agile.
● Security minded and strong working knowledge of vulnerabilities
● Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one of the OOTB ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.)
● ITIL V3 / V4 Foundation or above
What You’ll Do:
● Develop, test, and document working custom development, integrations, and data migrations for ServiceNow features, applications and projects.
● Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the ServiceNow platform.
● Manage CMDB health, integrations, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
● Design and develop a workflow framework that can be applied to many workflows and continuously seek new opportunities to improve our current manual processes.
● Participate in code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used.
● Execute test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered.
● Communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment.
● Provide detailed estimates and work breakdown structure for assigned tasks.
● Handle Incidents per published SLAs, ensuring system stability by maintaining required maintenance tasks, and address any system issues impacting SLAs or platform health.
● Contribute to a ServiceNow roadmap that plans out investments in system maintenance, upgrade schedule, system improvements and additions to the ServiceNow ecosystem that aligns with the longer-term goals and objectives of IT and its customers.
● Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment.
