Job summary

Ring is seeking a security engineer to analyse the security of applications and services, identify and fix issues, and build automation to respond rapidly to threats. You will mentor junior engineers and help shape security practices across the organization.

You will develop elegant, scalable security solutions, apply best practices, and contribute to security training and tooling. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with development teams, and continuous improvement of security

Qualifications

• 4+ years of non-internship background in troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks using command line tools.
• 5+ years of work in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans.
• 4+ years of (non-internship) scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages.
• Knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

You will be expected to develop elegant solutions to complex business problems and apply appropriate technologies while following security engineering best practices. You are also expected to mentor more junior engineers and be a security thought leader for the organization.

Skills

A successful candidate will need a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include project and software development work. Basic Qualifications
