• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering, Detection Engineering or Security Operations Engineering.
• Proven experience customizing, tuning, and extending security tools beyond basic administration.
• Experience building detections, policies, parsers, dashboards, automations, or integrations within security platforms.

A large software and gaming company is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its Information Security team. This individual will help design, customize, and enhance critical security tooling used to protect the organization's infrastructure, systems, and users.

This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role requiring someone who enjoys digging beneath the surface of security platforms, building custom solutions, and solving complex security challenges. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment with significant autonomy, shifting priorities, and opportunities to identify and drive security improvements independently.

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering, Detection Engineering or Security Operations Engineering

• Deep experience working with enterprise security platforms such as Crowdstrike, Splunk, XSOAR, and Sublime

• Proven experience customizing, tuning, and extending security tools rather than simply administering them.

• Experience building custom detections, policies, parsers, dashboards, automations, workflows, or integrations within security platforms.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under the hood of complex security technologies.

• Experience scripting or programming using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages.

• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, networking, and security architecture principles.

• Experience implementing security automation and SOAR workflows.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and modern security monitoring techniques.
