Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC seeks a Sr. Security Engineer to design, deploy and operate an enterprise PKI. You will ensure availability, resiliency, and certificate lifecycle management across large-scale environments.

You will automate PKI processes, integrate with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms, and define cryptographic policies aligned with NIST, CMMC, and PCI directives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying and operating enterprise PKI infrastructure.
• Strong certificate lifecycle management and security controls.
• Ability to integrate PKI with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with NIST/CMMC/PCI guidance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise PKI infrastructure.
• Ensure availability, resiliency, patching, and stability of PKI services.
• Manage certificate lifecycle activities, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and replacement.
• Automate certificate lifecycle management.
• Integrate PKI services with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Deploy and operationalize PKI connectors, tools, and automation pipelines.
• Define and enforce certificate usage, cryptographic security, and certificate issuance policies.
• Support compliance requirements related to NIST, CMMC, PCI, and TSA directives.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to enable certificate automation.
• Assist application teams with PKI onboarding, integration, and operational guidance.
• Identify and remediate certificate expiration, misconfiguration, and trust-related risks.
• Support incident response involving certificate failures and encryption issues.
• Improve certificate health monitoring, reporting, and compliance visibility.
• Support adoption of emerging cryptographic standards, including PQC.
• Evaluate and implement modern PKI solutions to improve scalability, security, and resilience.
