What You’ll Be Doing in the role of Senior Salesforce Architect
Susan G. Komen is looking for a Senior Salesforce Architect who is passionate about joining a team of architects, developers, and administrators. The Senior Salesforce Architect is a hands‑on leader with a background delivering highly scalable enterprise‑level Salesforce applications and integrations assets. This person understands all aspects of the Salesforce.com Sales / Marketing / Health Cloud and the force.com platform. The ideal candidate is an energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team leader who positively and productively impacts both strategic and tactical initiatives. This person brings a track record of delivering multiple concurrent initiatives, and leading the people, project, technology, and financial resources to build and maintain the Salesforce platform of a well‑established enterprise. This role will both lead and collaborate on projects with other development and technical resources, product managers, project managers, business subject matter experts, and others to design, develop, and maintain best‑in‑class Salesforce solutions and interfaces. The candidate must have a strong attention to detail and serve as both a leader and team player fostering a constructive attitude towards delivering business solutions. The Senior Salesforce Architect will be responsible for adhering to the SDLC to update the current online applications, as well as developing and implementing a usability testing process to ensure that new applications meet the company’s requirements.
What You Will Bring To The Table
- Lead functional day‑to‑day operations as part of Komen's SFDC Development team on a day‑to‑day basis. Serve as a point of contact for Marketing and Sales to provide maintenance, configuration, reporting, and training.
- Lead SFDC enhancement projects to support business needs. Work closely with Komen’s Marketing, Sales stakeholders, and various technology teams (Development, Infrastructure, Product Managers, etc.) to define and implement elegant, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions using Salesforce technologies.
- Deliver testing and QA of enhancements/changes to salesforce.com deployment using the enterprise sandboxes.
- Managing Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, and CRM systems and administration.
- Creative thinking with passion for developing vision and strategic plan, and turning it into reality.
- Ability to develop marketing architecture and technical architecture artifacts of proposed platforms, applications, tools, solutions, and projects, and present to senior leadership in the technology, business, and financial areas.
- Lead architecture discussions, drive technical decisions, participate in feature development and product roadmap planning. Provide robust project management and share status on a weekly basis with stakeholders.
- Deliver multiple concurrent projects and contribute through all project phases, from brainstorming to deployment, and ensure Agile development best practices are adhered to across the team and deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Represent departmental SDLC and adhere to development and deployment best practices leading code reviews, code analysis tools, CI/CD pipelines, and site monitoring to ensure 24/7 uptime of a performant web experience across a variety of Komen web properties and our constituents.
- Passion in leading a team that brings Salesforce ideas to life.
- Ensure team provides Web/Application security.
- Create and enable best practices, governance measures, and patterns for custom and configured solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange. Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity.

We Already Know You Will Also Have
- At least 10+ years of total work experience and at least 5 Years of experience in architecting, implementing, and administering Salesforce applications.
- Salesforce Certifications of either Application Architect or System Architect.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Science, Mathematics, Economics, Physical/Life Science or equivalent field.
- Significant experience in eagerly and collaboratively working with a team of Salesforce architects, developers, administrators, and other resources.
- Demonstrated success in marketing program management and goal alignment.
- Skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with technical and business colleagues and internal stakeholders, and successfully developing coordinated marketing programs with their input and cooperation.
- Digital marketing expertise for acquisition, demand generation, engagement, and conversion campaign development.
- Extensive successful writing and editing experience across a variety of communications materials and media channels.
- Ability to formally document project and architectural requirements.
- Experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of a variety of marketing messaging including long‑form case statements, quarterly impact reports, press releases, sales proposals, and consumer‑facing marketing campaigns.
- Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs while juggling multiple priorities, and allocating team members in the right positions.
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Belief in the agile development process, and requirements techniques such as user stories, use cases, and informal modeling.

Preferred Work Experience
- Strong experience with Full Salesforce development life cycle - administration, configuration, development including object/field customization, deploy/test in sandbox, deploy/verify in production, and sandbox management.
- Strong working knowledge of NPSP.
- Experience with Data loading and data extraction using non‑Salesforce ETL tools.
- Candidate must have a strong attention to detail and must be a team player with a constructive attitude towards business problems.
- Candidate should be able to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with both technical and non‑technical parties.
- Candidate must be a self‑motivated leader who is a results driven technology enthusiast.
- Candidate must be able to make decisions quickly and work under strict deadlines.

Approximate salary $102,000 to $145,000, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget.
