Sr. Risk Manager

Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of program management, strategic planning, change and risk management; as well as change resiliency to maintain momentum in a dynamic, fast-paced and complex environment among competing priorities. Strong relationship building and communication skills will be used to engage and influence critical stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who is capable of driving transformational change and delivering game-changing value with a high level of exposure to executives.

Responsibilities:

1. Establishing strategy and cadences for Board, Senior Management and Regulatory Reporting for a highly complex, regulated initiative.
2. Communicating program requirements and updates across the organization, to both internal and external stakeholders on a recurring basis and as needed.
3. Report out on program status, risks, issues and decisions to a wide variety of constituents across the company; flags critical risks and/or concerns to Risk Management and Business Leadership.
4. Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively report on updates.
5. Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders (i.e. Internal Audit, ERM effective challenge).

The ideal candidate will:

1. Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to proactively engage and effectively drive reporting of projects and program efforts.
2. Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management in a highly regulated environment, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
3. Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company, as well as external stakeholders and regulatory agencies, to manage, inform and influence outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
2. At least 6 years of risk management experience.
3. At least 5 years of project or program management experience.
4. At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree.
2. 7+ years of project or program management experience.
3. Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr. Risk Manager

Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr. Risk Manager

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
