Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Sr. Resident Engineer for the Remote/Teleworker role within the Advanced Services team.
You will be the primary technical contact for a single customer, focusing on break/fix, deep diagnostics, and advising on Junos configurations and network design. The role requires expert routing and switching knowledge, experience with MPLS/IS-IS/BGP/VPN, Junos and EVO, and automation in Python/Bash.
This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home.

The Resident Engineer reports into the Client Management division of HPE Networks as part of the Advanced Services (AS) team, typically dedicated to a single customer. Resident Engineers are expected to be fluent not only in Juniper Networks technology and general networking, but also in the specific customer deployments and use cases they support.
Resident Engineers serve as the primary technical support contact for customers who purchase Advanced Services and work directly with the customer on a daily basis. They are entrusted with access to customer production equipment in order to perform their duties. In this position, the primary role is focused on “break/fix” activities, where the engineer’s mastery of in‑depth diagnostics enables rapid restoration of network assets and helps prevent future issues. Additional tasks involve providing consultation on best practices in Junos configurations and network design.
There is an expectation of up to10% travel to visit other customer sites.
