The role handles inquiries about medical records from the public, physicians and providers; performs duties within approved practices and uses independent judgment within pre-determined guidelines.

Qualifications

• Three years Health Information Management or healthcare related work experience to include Hospital/clinic/physicians medical billing/insurance office.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• No license required.
• Good overall knowledge of Health Information Systems practices, procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology.
• Strong Customer Service Orientation.
• Knowledge of computer skills.
