Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate project lending and institutional financing.

  • Familiarity with interest rate management, deposits, cash management and fee-based products.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 required within 180 days of start.

Responsibilities

  • Manages an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion and helps companies save, borrow, and invest for their current and future needs.
  • Acquires, deepens, and maintains profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
  • Understands and interprets financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
  • Collaborates with domestic and international teammates throughout the bank, including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management and facilitates client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services in order to design and deliver financial solutions to clients and prospects.
  • Leads and facilitates dialogue with a variety of complex clients and prospects regarding topics such as the client and prospect industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
  • Coaches and mentors peers, while utilizing leadership skills.
  • Adapts to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed.

This job is responsible for providing advice and valuable financial solutions to complex Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact or trusted advisor and acquiring, deepening, and maintaining profitable relationships, collaborating with teammates, and facilitating client relationships with Product Specialists. Job expectations include having knowledge of the bank's products and services in order to identify cross‑selling opportunities and increase overall client satisfaction. Bank of America’s Commercial Real‑Estate Team is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (SRM). Bank of America is one of the largest providers of construction, development, and permanent financing to professional developers and investors of real estate including retail, office, industrial, lodging, and multifamily project loans as well as entity level financing solutions.

Required Skills
  • Must have 10+ years‑experience in commercial real estate project lending and Institutional Financing.
  • Candidate will have demonstrated sales, marketing and leadership skills including ability to maintain effective working relationships with underwriting partners, portfolio manager partners, relationship administrators, Credit Risk Manager, support staff and other associates.
  • Candidate will possess credit underwriting skills, presentation and negotiation skills, an understanding of financial accounting and commercial loan underwriting, and the relationship between credit risk, structure and pricing desired.
  • Familiarity with interest rate management products, deposit, cash management and other fee‑based products would be helpful.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 (Must obtain SIE, series 7 & 63 within 180 days of start date)

Pay and benefits information

Pay range $140,000.00 - $235,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
