Job summary

Temple-Health seeks a Registration Specialist to perform complex pre-registration, re-verification and insurance verification for scheduled services using hospital registration and billing systems. You will identify and verify insurance coverage, gather accurate demographics and patient liabilities, and contact patients, schedulers and insurers by phone to ensure smooth scheduling and financial clearance.

Requirements include 3 years in complex insurance verification for oncology or similar

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in complex insurance verification processes for oncological or other specialized medical services.
• 3 years experience with verification of all comprehensive insurance coverage, provider options, identification of patient liabilities, and point of service collection processes.
• General knowledge of Siemens Invision Registration, HDX Eligibility Verification Module and Huron Ontrac Revenue Cycle Solutions Systems.

Responsibilities

Responsible for completing complex pre-registration, re-registration and/or re-verification functions following department procedures using identified technology and hospital registration/billing systems. In addition, responsible to accurately identity, verify, and document insurance coverage for scheduled services utilizing all available electronic and manual sources. Requires daily communication with patients/caregivers, schedulers and insurance companies via telephone in order to obtain accurate demographic, insurance, referring provider and patient liability information.

Education

• Associate's Degree Required
• Other Graduate of Medical Assistant program. Preferred or
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience

• 3 years experience in complex insurance verification processes for oncological or other specialized medical services such as chemotherapy, radiation oncology, dialysis, or organ transplant. Required
• 3 years experience with verification of all comprehensive insurance coverage, provider options, identification of patient liabilities, and point of service collection processes Required
• General Experience with and knowledge of Siemens Invision Registration system, HDX Eligibility Verification Module and Huron Ontrac Revenue Cycle Solutions Systems Required
