Job Summary

The Sr. Quality Inspection Technician performs audits, inspections, tests, and measurement duties on standard products and processes to ensure conformance to product requirements. Coaching and work direction for personnel in aspects of product quality. May recommend process or improvement changes with various departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Essential Functions

  1. Foster/sustain "Voice of Quality" and "Quality 1st mindset".
  2. Performs visual and mechanical inspection of product and components per documented procedures; specification; drawings; or accepted manufacturing practices, using measuring equipment (i.e., caliper, micrometer, tape measures, color standards, Vision Systems).
  3. Responsible for controlling, monitoring, and quarantining of non-conformant product and materials.
  4. Understands the requirements of the Quality System such as: best documentation practices, quality standards, and basic ISO requirements.
  5. Responsible for NCMR Submissions.
  6. Responsible for Receiving Record Document Management.
  7. Update and maintain Inspection Procedure Submissions/DCR’s.
  8. Accept/release received materials.
  9. Responsible for CMM Programming and Operations.
  10. Acts as backup to all quality functions including receiving inspection, Components and Operations.
  11. Support company finance, accounting, human resources, quality, regulatory, and clinical departments as necessary to ensure compliance with requirements.

Requirements

Education, Experience, Required Skills

  1. 5-7 years of quality experience preferred.
  2. Reliable, motivated self-starter with an aptitude for development.
  3. Working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments, quality control terminology and competency in the use of ISO 9001:2015 Standards and/or other quality programs.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
  5. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  6. Able to handle and be trusted with confidential and/or sensitive information.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  8. Flexible and able to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
  9. Ability to problem-solve, work under pressure, and to effectively manage stress.

Physical Requirements

  1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop numerous times throughout the day.
  3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  4. Must have manual dexterity.
  5. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  6. Must wear gown, gloves, and ear protection if applicable.

Compensation

  1. The typical base pay range for this role is between $30.00-38.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.
  2. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
  3. 401(k) Plan: Company-provided Safe Harbor Contribution of 3% of eligible earnings.
