CSAT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of laptops, main logic boards (MLB), and LCD assemblies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about continuous improvement in a high-paced technical environment.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements of products during process design through production
  • Performs statistical analysis of processes, through the use of trend charts, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and fish bone diagrams for application in continuous improvement efforts
  • Performs reject analysis and reject verification to provide feedback to Operations and Engineering for the purpose of process improvement
  • Provides special testing, process capability studies, repeatability studies and equipment correlations as required
  • Prepares instructions and procedures for use by cross-functional teams in inspecting products for mechanical and aesthetic criteria, and for use in training
  • Works on New Product Project teams to provide for smooth transition of New Products into the regular manufacturing process
  • Consults with cross-functional teams to initiate product improvements
  • Implements and facilitates of continuous improvement activities in all areas of the business
  • Recommends process and/or design improvements including: developing and maintaining new failure analysis methods, corrective actions suggestions, material and component analysis and suggestions of change
  • Manage multiple projects at once; plan, arrange, organize and projects, and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage industry trends to proactively identify issues and opportunities to implement improvements
  • Cross train across business units in quality standards and methodologies
  • Mentor engineers and others in quality methodologies
  • Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Training
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated success in a similar position
  • Proficient English abilities required
  • Email and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control and experimental design concepts
  • Excellent knowledge of tools and methods related to inspection and analysis (prefer computer environment)
  • Proven experience in successful problem solving
  • Preferred certifications: Certified six sigma black belt, CQE
  • Preferred training and certifications: IPC-610, IPC7711/7721
Working Conditions and Essential Abilities & Functions

Position is based at CSAT Solutions’ Houston facility.

Requires standing, walking, and working in a production/repair environment for extended periods.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Regular exposure to electronic components, ESD-protected areas, and repair tools.

Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime as required by business needs.
