Job description

Full-Stack Developer

QuEra Computing is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join a fast-growing startup and help build the next generation of quantum computer management systems. In this role, you’ll contribute to our backend services written in Kotlin/Spring Boot and help shape and build our future user interface.

Experience

• 5–10 years of professional software development experience
• Backend development experience in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented language, with a desire to use/learn Kotlin
• Self‑motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services

Preferred Experience

• Experience with distributed cloud-native architectures
• Experience with microservices and event‑driven architectures
• Experience with event-streaming platforms like Pulsar, Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Kinesis
• Experience with AWS or other cloud service providers
• Exposure to UI/UX design principles or building developer-friendly tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python
• Experience working in agile, scrum, or kanban environments
• Experience or exposure to embedded development concepts
• Quantum-curious, though not required

Salary & Benefits

The approximate base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $225,000. We also provide equity grants for all new hires.
