Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

We are looking for an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Central Illinois. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our water resources design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater planning and infrastructure projects for various mid‑west municipalities, public and private utilities, and water and sewer districts.

Responsibilities
  • Work with discipline and regional leadership to grow the Water Resources team and service line in the Central Illinois region.
  • Lead and mentor junior‑level engineers and other team members to aid in their development
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, building new opportunities for business development
  • Serve as a project manager with responsibility for wastewater, drinking water, and storm water projects
  • Apply knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions
  • Serve as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods
  • Review operational practices to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 12+ years of experience in this discipline
  • Extensive experience managing and designing wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater projects
  • Experience with project management and accounting software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
