Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Licensed Site Professional to lead environmental remediation projects in Massachusetts.

You will manage complex site investigations, supervise LSP-of-Record duties, and coordinate regulatory reporting while guiding junior staff and client relationships. Qualifications

  • Post degree in earth science or engineering is a plus.
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER trained.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage full cycle project development from beginning to end.
  • Retain and provide technical expertise as LSP-of-Record for multiple sites.
  • Perform QA/QC of all portions of the project.
  • Communicate with Client Relationship Managers and external Clients regarding SOW and expectations.

Partner has an exciting and unique opportunity for a talented Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to join our growing Environmental Solutions group. Interested individuals will play a key role in our ever-expanding New England practice and will work with our current team as a technical expert, Senior Project Manager, and mentor.

The candidate is required to perform all Senior Project Management responsibilities related to environmental remediation projects, including technically and logistically planning, executing, and finalizing complex regulatory site investigations and remediation according to deadlines and within budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet technical, regulatory, quality, scheduling, and budgetary requirements.
  • Plan and implement site investigations and remedial activities at various sites.
  • Prepare and review regulatory and technical reports.
  • Coordinate the efforts of Partner team members to effectively complete and deliver projects according to schedule / budget.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Partner team members and the Client to successfully deliver a quality product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and manage full cycle project development from beginning to end.
  • Retain and provide technical expertise as LSP-of-Record for multiple sites.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) review and quality control (QC) of all portions of the project.
  • Communicate with internal Client Relationship Managers (RMs) and directly with external Clients regarding scope‑of‑work (SOW) and client expectations throughout the term of the project.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations (i.e. Client and/or Regulatory‑specific SOW) to team members in a timely and clear fashion and maintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members, as well as assist in the mentorship and training of junior staff.
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress is on schedule and in accordance with regulatory timeframes.
  • Provide sound recommendations and solutions toRMs and clients, while understanding the site assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process.
  • Identify and resolve issues with projects.
  • Deliver appropriate and timely progress reports (verbally or e‑mail) with recommendations to the Client and Relationship Manager.
  • Manage Client and regulatory agency follow-up, questions, and concerns.
  • Coordinate final/draft report and prepare invoicing for delivery to client.
  • Some Business Development duties may be required, including potential Client meetings, as well as seminar and/or Webinar participation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience investigating various environmentally impacted sties and an understanding of how to manage this impact in relation with commercial Real Estate transactional and redevelopment requirements;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and complete a wide range of project tasks including client management, proposal preparation / cost estimating, work plan preparation, report writing, field work, and subcontractor coordination;
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time;
  • Exceptional technical understanding, report writing and reviewing skills;
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team; and
  • Proficient in project estimating / proposals and working within budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 14+ years of relevant work experience investigating / remediating sites in Massachusetts (MassDEP). Knowledge of multiple states / federal regulations a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in geology, environmental science, engineering or similar discipline.
  • Post degree in an earth science or engineering discipline is a plus.
  • Current40-hour HAZWOPER trained.
  • Regulatory MA LSP licensure is a prerequisite for the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a baseline physical exam and respirator fit test.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.

COMPENSATION

Salary range: $125,000 - $175,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program, which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
