TEKsystems is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead medium-to-large technology initiatives within a $3B medical device company. You will partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and vendors to deliver on time, within scope, and within budget.

Initial assignments include an eCommerce re-platform for Marketing and a Quality function project, with potential adjustments. This is a fully remote contract role based in the US; PMP/CSM preferred.

Qualificações

Description

Job Description: IT Project Manager

We are seeking a IT Project Manager to work within the IT organization of a $3B medical device company and lead medium-to-large and complex technology projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget. This individual partners closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and vendor partners to deliver technology solutions that enable business objectives.

The first known project assignments will be (1) an eCommerce Re-platform project in service of the Marketing function and (2) a project in service of the Quality function. Subject to change.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead multiple complex IT projects simultaneously through all project phases (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure).
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Ensure project documentation, communication, and governance compliance.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Partner with business leaders to understand needs and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Facilitate steering committee meetings, executive updates, and status reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Team Leadership

• Coordinate and lead project teams composed of IT, business, and vendor resources.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Project Managers or Business Analysts.
• Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture.

Process & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the improvement of PMO methodologies, templates, and tools.
• Champion project management best practices and governance standards (PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid).
• Support organizational change management related to technology implementations.

Education

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• 815 years of total professional experience, including 510 years of IT project management experience.
• Proven success managing large, enterprise-level IT projects ($1M+ budgets).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across infrastructure, applications, or cloud initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IT development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).

Certifications (preferred)

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP (for Agile environments)

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational skills, attention to detail
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Performance Metrics

• Delivery of projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
• Business satisfaction and stakeholder engagement scores.
• Compliance with PMO governance and reporting standards.
• Achievement of defined business outcomes or benefits realization.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mounds View, MN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
