Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Gas Team in Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; or Atlanta, GA. You will oversee high-impact gas infrastructure programs that ensure safe, reliable energy delivery and influence strategic asset investments.

You will lead project delivery, manage client relationships, mentor other managers, and contribute to proposals, plans, and closeout documents while navigating a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including 8 years of project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices.
  • Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong QA/QC knowledge, business practices, and engineering laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision knowledge preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project accounting.
  • Experience preparing proposals and project documentation and interpreting client contracts.
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of gas infrastructure project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships.
  • Develop work with specific clients and lead marketing plan development for target market areas.
  • Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy.
  • Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents.
  • Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards.
  • Manage client contract interpretation and relationship management.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Gas Team in Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; or Atlanta, GA. In this pivotal role, you will oversee high-impact infrastructure programs that support the safe and reliable transport of energy resources. This is an opportunity to influence strategic asset investments, advance operational performance, and help clients navigate an evolving regulatory and energy landscape while delivering results that extend well beyond project completion.

What You'll Do
  • Manage all aspects of gas infrastructure project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measures
  • Serve as a “seller/doer,” developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areas
  • Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
  • Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
  • Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards
  • Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are met
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred

Salary Range

$150,000 - $165,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
