TDIndustries in Houston seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead construction initiatives from start to finish, coordinating the team and team efforts across site and management. You will develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for project members and ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment.

You will drive quality, manage budgets, review status reports, and lead meetings to meet customer and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience leading projects within construction or engineering.
  • Experience delivering projects on schedule and within budget; strong cross-functional collaboration.

  • Lead project meetings and pre‑job planning to align requirements across teams.
  • Assemble and load project estimates into the cost system; manage finances.
  • Resolve conflicts with customers, vendors, trades, or partners; mentor other PMs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; ensure alignment with master schedule.
  • Prepare monthly billings to maintain cash flow during contract performance.
  • Identify policy improvements and drive continuous project performance enhancements.

Job Summary

Leads or coordinates construction projects such as developing a new facility; the addition, expansion or extension of an existing facility; or renovation/alterations to a facility in collaboration with project team, construction site and management. Develops assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Organizes and directs construction personnel and ensures that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.

Essential Duties
  • Drive the successful completion of high-quality projects within specified timelines and budgets. Proactively manage scope changes, conduct thorough material assessments, and negotiate contracts to ensure project success.
  • Reviews various reports to determine project status and determine actions required. Provides periodic status and end of contract cost and budget analysis.
  • Facilitate and participate in project meetings to align with customer expectations and company standards. Lead pre-job planning sessions to ensure clear understanding of project requirements among team members.
  • Assembles an estimates projects. Reviews the final estimate and ensures the proper loading of those numbers into the project cost system.
  • Communicates all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.
  • Documents planning meeting results and ensures all action items are completed. Develops and keeps current all project schedules. Ensures all schedules mesh with the master project schedule and resolves conflicts when they occur.
  • Prepares and submits monthly contract billings to ensure proper cash flow during contract performance. Protects the company’s interest by managing all financial aspects of the contract. Completes project closeout/inactivation within prescribed period including the final project billing to obtain full funding.
  • Manages conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades or Partners. Leads and manages other project managers. Provides leadership, shares technical expertise and experience to other Partners.
  • Identifies and develops policies and procedures for continuous aggressive improvement.
  • Assembles estimates for projects. Visits job sites or onsite offices, performs work inspections, checks job progress, and resolves project and contract issues.
Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is a mandatory requirement.

Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in successfully leading projects and programs within the construction or engineering industry.

Experience in successfully leading projects and programs, on-schedule and within budget.
Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross functional environment.
Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
