Job summary

Jedson Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager based in Cincinnati, OH. You will lead engineering design projects, collaborating with civil, electrical, mechanical, and automation disciplines, reporting to the location's Operations Leader.

You will manage scope, deliverables, costs, and client relationships, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution while advocating for the Jedson engineering team and maintaining client trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing engineering design projects and coordinating across civil, electrical, mechanical, and automation disciplines.
• PMP certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of business projects from inception through execution.
• Develop and document the engineering scope of work.
• Review and manage all project deliverables across all engineering disciplines.
• Secure resources needed for team to execute work effectively (i.e. drawings, reports, site visits, etc.).
• Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met.
• Develop and track project costs.
• Identify and communicate changes to SOW.
• Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs.
• Ensure value is provided to the client and earn their trust.
• Ensure the clients policies and procedures are communicated and followed by the Jedson and project team.
• Ensure PO's are received from the client before work begins and invoices are paid timely.
• Travel 30% to client site to interface with the project team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

This position requires someone with significant project management experience over engineering design projects, collaborating with various engineering disciplines from civil, electrical, mechanical and automation. Reporting to the location's Operations Leader, the successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally, have strong project and business skills, be well spoken and personable, and be a strong advocate for and leader of the Jedson engineering team.

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering or relevant Project Management experience
• Project Management experience on Engineering Projects
• Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
• Proven Customer Account Manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients
• Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
• Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
• Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of operations
• PMP certification (desired, but not required)
• Experience in the Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, and Consumer Products industries
