Job summary

Mars seeks a Sr. Project Engineer to design and install projects and act as a senior member of the engineering community on site and with the project team. You will deploy engineering know-how to execute projects delivering competitive advantage.

You will lead end-to-end initiatives with emphasis on safety, security, and environmental compliance, collaborating across disciplines and balancing multiple priorities. Travel may be required up to 50% depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical) is required.
• 4+ years of experience in medium-scale project coordination or project management.
• Experience with safety, security, and environmental compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to motivate teams and drive tasks to completion.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities balancing project execution.
• Basic understanding of engineering principals across disciplines (Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer Services).
• In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area (controls, process, packaging).
• Ability to travel 30-50% depending on project demands.

Sr. Project Engineer

As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and installation of projects. Your role will be a senior active member of the Engineering community, site technical team, the local engineering team, and assigned project team(s). Additionally, you will be responsible for deploying his/her engineering know-how to successfully execute and deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.

What are we looking for?

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in medium scale ($2 - $10M) project coordination or project management
• Demonstrated experience working within structured safety, security, and environmental compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record of motivating team members and driving project tasks to completion.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities with experience balancing project execution
• Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer Services
• In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area of expertise (for specific job requirement i.e. controls, process, packaging)
• Ability to travel approximately 30-50% depending on project demands.

Preferred:

• 8+ years of experience managing large scale (greater than $10M) cross-functional project teams in safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
• Project Management experience within CPG (food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®, or equivalent safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).
