Jacobs is seeking a Sr Project Controls Professional for an ongoing site-based assignment across multiple locations in the United States. You will oversee cost control, forecasting, and earned value metrics, collaborating with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate financial tracking throughout the lifecycle of complex projects.

The role requires 15+ years in project controls, EVMS experience, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in project controls with strong cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay applications.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements: budget updates, scope changes, expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance; advise project managers on corrective actions.
• Review contractor pay applications for contractual compliance.
• Track construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data.

We are seeking an experienced Sr Project Controls Professional to support an ongoing site-based assignment in Spartanburg, SC, Baton Rogue, LA, or Corpus Christi, TX, with future projects also requiring on-site presence across the U.S. This senior-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a strong background in cost control and construction progress tracking.

You will work as part of a dedicated project controls team, collaborating closely with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Here’s what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, with a strong focus on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project controls teams, construction teams, and vendors.
• Willingness and ability to travel for on-site assignments.

The base salary range for this position is $123,600.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
