Job description

Sr. Program Manager-Network and Security, Amazon Leo, Global Service Compliance

We are seeking a stellar program manager with operational experience and expertise in Network and Security communications service compliance, specifically across Network Outage Reporting, IP/DNS Blocking, Traffic Routing, and Security Reporting within internet service provider and telecom environments. This role sits within the Global Service Compliance team supporting Amazon Leo, an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Amazon Leo Global Service Compliance (GSC) is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced Program Manager to guide and inform specific communications service compliance obligation workstreams. You are responsible for managing complex compliance programs, from planning through to execution, continuously surveilling the Amazon Leo business strategy and regulatory environment to plan and respond to change across one or more domains. This role focuses on Network and Security compliance and may expand to include things like enterprise deals across multiple countries and service offerings.

You collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver world‑class compliance solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong organizational focus. You work with stakeholders and multiple business teams to identify, define, and iterate solutions for assigned compliance domains. You are a deep subject‑matter expert in your assigned compliance workstreams and will be the face of the workstream to external stakeholders. You create dynamic plans and monitor performance and evolution of the workstream as the Amazon Leo business expands and changes, reporting successes, risks, and program status internally (within GSC) and externally (across Amazon Leo) as appropriate. You tailor your communications to specific audiences, communicating clearly and concisely to business, technical, business partner, and leadership audiences.

As a GSC PM, you oversee the compliance program approach, implementation, and optimization for Outage Reporting, IP/DNS Blocking, Traffic Routing and Security Reporting workstreams, while championing program management best practices across the GSC organization.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance workstream strategies aligned with Amazon Leo's global service expansion goals and objectives. This involves defining workstream scope, establishing measurable KPIs, and creating mechanisms to monitor compliance performance and efficiency.
  • Own ongoing prioritization, resourcing and development of GSC's strategy and plan for assigned compliance workstreams as assigned. Monitor and plan for change against the Amazon Leo Business strategy and the regulatory landscape to scope and implement change. Anticipate and react to feedback/engagement in collaboration with GSC's execution teams to drive operational improvements.
  • Plan GSC's roadmap and mechanism structure to ensure growth scales globally by leveraging foundational frameworks and automation.
  • Be a subject matter expert and central point of contact for internal and cross‑functional stakeholders to accelerate deliverables. This includes providing guidance and expertise to support GSC teams and stakeholders to unblock paths forward in their deliverables across assigned compliance workstreams.
  • Own administrative functions for internal coordination, including function‑based calendar management, workspace accesses, creation and maintenance of knowledge artifacts and support onboarding and training of personnel.
