Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to oversee a complex, multi-year government contract in collaboration with engineering, operations, quality, finance, contracts and sales. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include managing Earned Value, maintaining IMS plans, and negotiating SOWs with customers. Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in program management; U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Program Management, Engineering and/or Sales.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to translate technical decisions into business terms and produce clear documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to allocate time and resources efficiently amid shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrates leadership in a matrix-reporting environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Energy requirements.

  • Plans, monitors, and manages to avoid specification shortfalls, budget overruns, schedule overruns and emergency situations.
  • Anticipates problems and takes timely actions to eliminate or mitigate.
  • Manages specification reviews to ensure the agreed upon specification meets customer needs and is achievable on time.
  • Negotiates and agrees upon Statement of Work with customer to meet requirements and budget needs.
  • Acts as the principal point of contact between the customer and Teledyne.
  • Creates and executes detailed program plans to satisfy the product specification and SOW.
  • Tracks program Earned Value via IMS planning tools.
  • Performs other related duties of similar complexity as directed.

Job Description

We are presently seeking a highly dynamic Program Manager (PM) responsible for managing a complex, multi-million dollar and multi-year government contracts in collaboration with engineering, operations, quality, finance, contracts and sales team members. The Program Manager is responsible for delivering product on time and on budget by coordinating timely program support with internal and external customers and interested parties. The Program Manager is responsible for various program attributes including financial reports, product development coordination, and scheduling.

What You'll Do
  • Manages and contributes to all aspects of program execution to satisfy customer requirements and ensure profitability

  • Tracks program Earned Value via detailed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) planning tools
  • Performs other related duties of similar complexity as directed
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree required with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Engineering degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Program Management, Engineering and/or Sales
  • Must have excellent communication skills and effectively communicate and engage all levels of the organization verbally and in writing
  • Will be able to translate technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications, produce clear understandable documentation geared for all audiences
  • Must be able to allocate time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities
  • continually seek ways to improve individual/team efficiency
  • Demonstrates ability to be an effective leader and manager in a matrix-reporting environment
  • Full understanding of the business and the impact of Program Management to the organization
