Job summary

Cotality is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of our cloud-native data and analytics platform within the Cloud Delivery & Insights organization. You will design modern data solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud-native tech, acting as a technical leader and driving cross-team decisions to enable our AI-first strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on data platforms or data engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Proven experience designing and operating large-scale, production systems.
• Preferred experience in Snowflake, Databricks/Apache Spark.

What is the role?

This role will focus on designing and delivering modern data solutions leveraging Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud‑native technologies. As a Senior Engineer, this individual will act as a technical leader and force multiplier, driving architectural standards, influencing cross‑team decisions, and enabling our AI‑first and data‑driven strategy.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Credentials)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on data platforms or data engineering
• Strong expertise in Snowflake, Databricks/Apache Spark, Python, and SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale, production systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field

Experience with:

• Preferred experience in Snowflake, Databricks/Apache Spark,
• Data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, etc.)
• Data modeling and lakehouse architectures
• CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Data governance and security practices
• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or feature engineering
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker)

Annual Pay Range:

129,600 - 160,000 USD
