Job summary

ElringKlinger AG in Easley, SC seeks an experienced production operator to monitor workflow, operate equipment, and support daily manufacturing activities. You will collaborate with team members to meet schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will train operators, verify first piece inspections, record production data, and help with 5S/lean initiatives. The role requires effective communication and a commitment to ElringKlinger’s core values.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Ability to train other team members effectively.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with team members.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Responsible for material availability at the station.
• Operate equipment and/or run stations within the line.
• Assist with machine and equipment setup and minor adjustments/troubleshooting.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for operators regarding process and equipment issues.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to new and existing team members.
• Verify first piece inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Assist with accurate production, downtime, scrap, and other production records and reporting.
• Escalate production issues and coordinate resolutions, within escalation matrix.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate suggestions to supervisor and/or production manager.
• Support 5S and lean initiatives within the work area.
• Serve as a liaison between operators and supervisors, relay shift updates and priorities.
• Participate in daily production meetings and provide feedback on team performance.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Other duties, as assigned.
