Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator to join our weekend PM team in Wisconsin.

You will read and interpret job orders, set up and operate a variety of production machinery, and ensure output meets quality standards and safety requirements. In this role you will cross-train across production zones, uphold PPE procedures, complete documentation, and communicate with technicians and supervision to keep production on schedule.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our weekend team. In this role, you will be responsible for reading and accurately interpreting job orders, customer specifications, and work instructions to set up and operate a variety of machinery in accordance with departmental processes and job-specific requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of product quality by consistently evaluating output and ensuring all departmental procedures are followed with precision.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, proactively identifies and escalates issues to production technicians, management, or engineering, and maintains a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will adhere to all safety protocols established by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department - including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical handling procedures, and hazardous waste management where applicable - and will promptly report all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.

This position also requires flexibility and a willingness to cross-train on equipment and operations across multiple production zones to support team goals and operational continuity.

Shifts
  • Weekend PM: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00 pm to 6:30 am
  • Departments: Zone 3 and Zone 4
Job Expectations
Machine Setup & Operation
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery and equipment in accordance with job orders, work instructions, and customer specifications
  • Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain optimal performance and output quality
  • Perform changeovers between jobs or product types efficiently and accurately
  • Notify maintenance or engineering when equipment malfunctions or requires repair
Job Order Interpretation
  • Read and accurately interpret job travelers, work orders, routing sheets, and customer specifications
  • Verify material, lot numbers, and quantities prior to starting production runs
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Confirm set‑up and first‑piece approval before running full production quantities
Quality Control & Inspection
  • Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Use measurement tools and gauges (calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, etc.) as required
  • Identify and segregate non‑conforming materials, initiating the appropriate rejection or rework process
  • Maintain accurate production counts, yield tracking, and scrap reporting
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department
  • Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Handle chemicals and hazardous materials in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements (where applicable)
  • Immediately report all accidents, near misses, injuries, and unsafe conditions to supervision
  • Participate in safety training, audits, and drills as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with production technicians, and supervisors regarding job status, issues, and priorities
  • Escalate production, quality, or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate personnel
  • Participate in shift handoffs by providing accurate status updates to incoming operators
  • Support a positive, collaborative team environment
Cross-Training & Flexibility
  • Cross-train on equipment, processes, and operations across multiple production zones as directed
  • Adapt to changing production priorities, schedules, and assignments as business needs require
  • Support other departments or areas during peak production periods
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, or safety
  • Support lean manufacturing and process improvement efforts as directed
Qualifications
  • A basic knowledge of functions and processes within the department is preferred
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills is preferred
  • High level of analytical ability
  • High School Diplomaor equivalent required
  • Comfortable working with computers
  • Comfortable working in small teams

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
