Job description

About The Role

Reporting to the GM, Growth & Marketing, the Sr. Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for owning the development and execution of go-to-market (GTM) strategies that position our products to win in the market. In collaboration with Product, Growth and Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams, this position will work to translate market insights into compelling positioning, messaging, and enablement that drive adoption, revenue, and customer loyalty.

This role is ideal for a marketer who thrives at the intersection of product, market, and customer—and who can blend strategic thinking with tactical execution. You’ll leverage frameworks to deeply understand customer problems, frame market context, and communicate differentiated value that resonates with target segments.

Hybrid – 80% in-office in Scottsdale, with 20% flexibility to work from home.

Market & Customer Insights
  • Conduct and synthesize market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Build and maintain deep understanding of buyer personas and industry dynamics.
  • Use market context to inform strategic positioning and prioritize target segments.
Positioning & Messaging
  • Own and evolve product positioning and messaging, ensuring it clearly differentiates from competitors and resonates with target customers.
  • Develop compelling narratives and proof points for different customer segments and lifecycle stages.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across all touchpoints—sales collateral, website, campaigns, product UI, and events.
Go-to-Market Strategy
  • Partner with Product Management and Revenue Operations to define launch goals, audience targeting, and success metrics.
  • Build integrated GTM plans that align with business objectives and sales motions.
  • Lead cross-functional launch execution, coordinating timelines and deliverables across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
Sales & Customer Enablement
  • Collaborate with the Brand & Content team to develop sales tools, pitch decks, battlecards, competitive briefs, and case studies that arm the sales team with winning narratives.
  • Train internal teams on product positioning, buyer personas, and objection handling.
  • Support post-launch adoption by collaborating on customer communications and onboarding materials.
Measurement & Optimization
  • Track GTM and campaign performance against KPIs; analyze what’s working and iterate to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain a feedback loop between Sales, Product, and Marketing to refine strategy based on real-world results.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, or a related strategic marketing role (SaaS technology environment strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience developing and executing GTM strategies for product launches and feature releases.
  • Strong understanding of positioning, segmentation, and competitive analysis frameworks.
  • Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into simple, compelling messages.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and communicate marketing impact.
  • Post-secondary Degree in a related field (e.g., marketing, communications, business, technology), or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and inventive team player.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in workforce travel, SaaS platforms, or marketplace business models.
  • Familiarity with Reforge frameworks or other advanced product marketing training.
  • Hands‑on skills in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools.
Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Clear, differentiated product positioning that is adopted across the company.
  • Strong alignment between Product, Sales, and Marketing on GTM priorities.
  • Successful product launches that drive adoption, revenue growth, and market share.
  • Sales and customer-facing teams consistently using and benefiting from PMM-developed assets.
