Job description

Do you shop at Amazon? You know that moment when you tap a product and a compact card expands to show you the price, variations, reviews, and an "Add to Cart" button — without ever bouncing you to a new page? That's a Dynamic ASIN Faceout (DAF), and it's how Amazon is reimagining product discovery and evaluation across the entire Store.

Our team owns rendering critical product evaluation features such as title, media block, price and "Add to Cart" across Stores experiences like Search, Detail Page, Cart, and P13N widgets, and we own key business metrics including conversion, customer satisfaction, and revenue. Today, product display is fragmented across 500+ separate faceout implementations spanning 25+ services — every new feature has to be rebuilt dozens of times. DAF replaces that with a single, contextually-aware faceout built with a "build once, deploy everywhere" framework that renders a base, expanded, or full faceout depending on customer context and intent, and lets teams innovate in a federated way.

We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Technical (PMT) to own the Dynamic ASIN Faceouts roadmap and its expansion strategy. You'll own the vision for how customers evaluate and purchase products across Search, Homepage, Contextual Landing Pages, Rufus/Alexa for Shopping, Buy Again, recommendation widgets, and desktop — and you'll define how we responsibly expand this CX to new surfaces. This is a high-impact, highly visible role: you'll directly influence the experience of millions of customers generating hundreds of millions of dollars of unit purchases worldwide, while building a new, durable advertising revenue line tied to DAF growth. If you're passionate about influencing, designing, and delivering the next-generation Amazon shopping experience, we want to meet you.

Key job responsibilities

As an ideal candidate, you will have experience in leading Consumer Marketplace/e-commerce products and a passion to understand the interplay between customer experience, builder experience, legal and financials. You are responsible for defining and driving our product roadmaps. You will work closely with customer research, UX, marketing, legal, international partners, and your dedicated engineering team to deliver features in your space. As our lead product strategist, you must analyze the potential customer and financial implications, select the most promising ideas, prioritize them and create a cohesive roadmap. You will also evangelize new features to our shoppers, working to accelerate their adoption across the Stores, track the impacts, and communicate results with senior leaders.

This is a highly visible position. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon’s strategic objectives. Excellent written, verbal communication and data analytical skills are a necessity. Successful candidates should thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment oriented around delivering optimized promotions to customers worldwide.

  • Partner with partners and driving alignment towards a cohesive vision.

  • Manage the backlog with the engineering team, and participate in stand-up, sprint planning and retrospective.
  • You will spend about 15% of you time doing stand-up, planning, retrospective, project meetings, and 1:1s.
  • Identify opportunities and spend time on growing yourself. Our team invests in its people. We have dedicated support for learning programs, and learning focused recharge weeks a couple times a year.
  • Have fun by participating in team events, and extra-curricular activities. Things you enjoy doing, and benefit the team or Amazon, but are more about you. That's things like interviewing, presenting, or building your knowledge and network.

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
