Jobbeschreibung

We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

Enterprise Technology plays a critical part in shaping the future of mobility. If you’re looking for the chance to leverage advanced technology to redefine the transportation landscape, enhance the customer experience and improve people’s lives, this is the opportunity for you. Join us and challenge your IT expertise and analytical skills to help create vehicles that are as smart as you are.

In this position...

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining why we should invest, what we should build and why it matters now. This role serves as the strategic product leader for digital products and capabilities, ensuring investments deliver measurable customer, business and operational outcomes.

You will work closely with business partners, consumers, engineering, UX, analytics and partner teams across geographic regions to identify opportunities, validate assumptions, establish product strategy and create roadmaps aligned to organizational objectives. You will translate customer and business needs into prioritized product investments, measurable goals, and clearly defined features that enable teams to deliver value with confidence.

As part of the product triad, you will partner closely with Engineering Managers and UX leaders. Product Management owns the strategic direction, prioritization, epic-level requirements, acceptance criteria and acceptance of delivered value. Engineering owns the technical approach, story-level decomposition, estimates, sequencing, Scrum ceremonies and software execution. UX owns research-informed experience design and validation.

Ford encourages employees to use approved artificial intelligence capabilities as part of their work. Successful candidates will understand how to apply AI technology to improve research, synthesis, analysis, planning, documentation, communication and decision-making, independent of any AI provider or user interface. Familiarity with Ford's internal PM tool Krystal is helpful but not required; curiosity and a demonstrated ability to learn and adopt approved AI-enabled workflows are expected.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Ford Pro digital experiences while helping commercial customers and internal stakeholders achieve greater productivity, efficiency and business success.

Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

You’ll have...
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in digital products, software products or an Agile product-development environment.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or related product leadership role, including responsibility for product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization and stakeholder alignment. This includes: Demonstrated experience connecting customer needs and business objectives to a clear product strategy and measurable product outcomes.
  • Experience defining product vision, objectives, key performance indicators, feature requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience conducting product discovery, customer validation, analytics review and evidence-based prioritization.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering Managers on estimation, quarterly capacity planning, sequencing, dependencies and delivery risk.
  • Experience partnering with UX, engineering, analytics and business stakeholders to deliver and improve digital products.
  • Practical proficiency using AI-enabled capabilities to improve research, synthesis, analysis, planning, documentation, communication or decision-making in professional work.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience leading teams or professionals in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or similar IT disciplines.
Even better, you may have...
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Product Management, Computer Scienxe, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics or a related field
  • Experience leading enterprise, platform, API, data-intensive or customer-facing digital products.
  • Experience with commercial customers, fleet operations, automotive services, mobility, retail or B2B software products.
  • Experience developing and executing product strategies tied to measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience with customer research, journey mapping, rapid prototyping, experimentation, human-centered design or continuous-discovery practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and make clear tradeoffs.
  • Experience leading quarterly planning and roadmap alignment across multiple products or delivery teams.
  • Experience working in a large global organization serving stakeholders and customers across multiple markets.
  • Experience identifying or delivering AI-enabled product features, workflow improvements or business-value opportunities.
  • Familiarity with generative AI concepts and the responsible application of AI technology, independent of a specific model provider or interface.
  • Familiarity with Krystal or a demonstrated drive to quickly learn new enterprise-approved product-management and AI-enabled tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders across cultures, functions, regions and time zones.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and global matrixed organization
  • Experience mentoring Product Managers or contributing to product-management communities of practice.
  • Demonstrated success launching, measuring and improving production software based on customer evidence and product performance.
