Position Summary:

The Senior Product Manager will spearhead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of sophisticated fintech products tailored to the captive auto finance sector. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in financial technology, auto lending processes, and Agile methodologies. You will lead cross-functional teams, shape product direction, and deliver scalable solutions that enhance customer experiences, optimize operational efficiency, and drive business growth that align with the company and business strategy. As a senior leader, you’ll mentor junior team members and influence company-wide product strategy. In addition, this role will work with the business units to create, maintain and optimize business processes to achieve maximum efficiency and scalability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and champion the long-term vision and roadmap for auto finance products, aligning with Stellantis Financial Services objectives and industry trends.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities by analyzing market dynamics, competitor offerings, and emerging fintech innovations (e.g., AI-driven credit scoring, blockchain-based contracts).
  • Drive thought leadership by proposing and validating new product concepts to maintain a competitive edge in the auto finance market.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle—from ideation and requirements definition to development, launch, and post-launch optimization for complex solutions (e.g., loan origination platforms, digital wallets, dealer financing tools, etc).
  • Translate business needs and customer pain points into detailed product requirements, epics, features, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Prioritize feature development based on ROI, customer value, and strategic alignment, balancing short-term wins with long-term goals.
  • Lead collaboration with engineering, UX/UI, data science, sales, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and user-friendly products.
  • Act as the primary liaison with senior stakeholders, including dealership partners, lending institutions, and C-suite executives, to ensure alignment and adoption.
  • Partner with Vendor Management and Procurement for RFPs or contract negotiations.
  • Partner with IT Architects, EPMO and Development to assess costs and high level timelines.
  • Work with Business leaders to provide business cases and shepherd through the process for approval.
  • Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability within the team.
  • Leverage advanced analytics to monitor product performance, track KPIs (e.g., loan approval rates, time-to-funding, customer satisfaction), and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and oversee A/B tests, MVPs, and iterative releases to validate hypotheses and refine product offerings.
  • Partner with data teams to integrate predictive models or machine learning into products, enhancing decision-making and personalization.

  • Advocate for exceptional user experiences across all touchpoints, from borrower applications to dealer workflows and lender dashboards.
  • Conduct in-depth user research and usability testing to refine features and address friction points in the auto finance journey standard
  • Drive initiatives to enhance customer retention and loyalty through innovative fintech solutions.
  • Lead Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban) with a focus on fostering team autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
