Job summary

Lucid Software in Raleigh is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Developer Platform strategy. You’ll shape how Lucid embeds within customer tools and how APIs power Lucid AI and integrations, collaborating with PMs, UX, engineers, and QA.

You will mentor teammates, maintain a roadmap aligned with company strategy, and drive both qualitative and quantitative research to identify opportunities for product optimization across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software Product Management experience.
• Proven track record of leading cross-team platform initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Track record of improving core business and product metrics, especially in B2B SaaS environments.
• Ability to de-risk: can be creative and validate hypotheses quickly.
• Ability to talk with anyone from engineers to executive-level customers, each in their own language.
• Ability to understand and discuss technical trade-offs.

• Become an expert of and an advocate for our customers, their motivations, goals, and needs.
• Deliver on key business outcomes measured by top level business metrics.
• Own the roadmap across multiple projects, keeping it anchored to company strategy and communicating priority to relevant stakeholders.
• Own product features and/or themes through their creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration.
• Drive qualitative and quantitative research to discover feature ideas and validate them before development.
• Effectively leveraging metrics to understand usage patterns and the effectiveness of features using quantitative analysis to find opportunities for optimization.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of software Product Management experience
• Proven track record of leading cross-team platform initiatives from strategy through execution
• Track record of improving core business and product metrics, especially in B2B SaaS environments
• Ability to de-risk: can be creative and come up with ways to validate hypotheses quickly
• Ability to talk with anyone from engineers to enterprise sales reps, solution engineers, executive-level customers, security, internal stakeholders, and end users, each in their own language
• Ability to understand and discuss technical trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong eye for polish, design, and brand within a product
• Experience with document-centric solutions within the Software as a Service (SaaS) domain
• Experience owning product strategy for a platform or API surface, not just a single feature
• Experience working with SaaS tools administrators
• Experience with rapid prototyping and learning techniques, including AB/multivariate testing
• Strong understanding of digital products and productivity workflow
• Experience mentoring or influencing other product managers
• Comfortable operating with significant autonomy in ambiguous, cross-functional environments
