Job description

Launched in 2023, Integrated Services creates and markets new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services allow Ford's retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicles like never before with OTA (over-the-air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.

In this position...

Ford is #1 in commercial vehicles in North America and the #1 brand in Europe. On this base of strength, we have built a rapidly growing software and services business (Telematics SaaS, Data/control APIs, Fleet Management services, Charging SaaS, etc.) by first building a great product, design, and engineering team.

Demand for these services is accelerating, and larger fleets are beginning to show interest and purchase these products. Larger fleets have different needs than smaller fleets, and additionally they often need custom features – an integration with an ERP system for instance or a custom report or data feed understanding and addressing these needs in a consultative manner during the sales process and supporting these fleets as they onboard and scale is critical to both the fleet’s (and Ford’s) success.

What you'll do...

Summary: Make Ford Pro’s SaaS offerings enterprise-ready by delivering custom integrations and features for our largest fleet customers and turning these features into reusable capabilities as part of a new extensibility platform

  • Plug deeply into the sales process for Ford’s portfolio of software and services, working with the sales team and large customers directly to understand their requirements and what requires custom development outside of the established roadmap

  • Work with your engineering and design partners to build, test, and deploy the solutions required, meeting the customer’s need but with an eye to reuse and ideally bringing the features to production deployment for more/all other customers.

  • Build and manage the extensibility platform which will house third party software integration(s) going forward.

  • Work with the account management team to ensure onboarding and ramp/adoption for these larger customers is smooth, especially relating to the custom integrations and features created

  • This role will also extend our platform in new directions, including deeper into the vehicle. More context can be shared during the interview process

You’ll have...

  • 8+ years as a product manager, with a demonstrated track record of impact

  • 3+ years of people management, including product managers with a track record of building strong teams and developing people

  • Deep experience working directly with customers, ideally in a consultative fashion

  • Technical depth and experience working with APIs of various types, authentication, and full-stack applications. Must be comfortable having architecture conversations with engineers

  • Ability to make tough, principled prioritization and build/not decisions based on quantitative factors such as business value, effort, reuse, etc.

  • Have successfully gone “0 to 1” on a product/concept (could have been at a startup or big company)

  • Demonstrated AI fluency: You use AI tools in your day-to-day workflows and can point to specific ways they’ve changed how your team builds software and the impact of these changes.

  • Comfortable moving beyond traditional PM boundaries, for examples prototyping, running your own analysis, or making simple code changes

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience in a fleet-related space, B2B sales, or consulting

  • Academic background in engineering, hard sciences, design, or equivalent work experience

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage
  • Paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up childcare and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • Generous vacation time, sick/personal time, and paid holidays, including between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700-$268,300.
