Position Overview: The Medical Surgical Brands Product Development Manager is responsible for leading the development and enhancement of medical and healthcare products, taking them from initial concept to successful market launch. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring that product development aligns with McKesson Brand’s strategic objectives. The Product Development Manager will drive innovation, understand customer needs and pain points and devise effective solutions, manage timelines, and oversee product life cycles to deliver high-quality products to the portfolio.
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in product development in finished goods from concept development to successful product launch; healthcare and medical device product development experience preferred. Customer-centric with capability of translating user needs into new product concepts. Ability to think strategically while managing the tactical execution. Ability to effectively collaborate with a range of counterparts including Sourcing, Category Management, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain Management, Product Marketing and Sales. Ability to balance multiple priorities and perform under tight deadlines. Solid understanding of supply chain operations and financial profitability levers. Ability to work in a regulated environment and adherence to quality and regulatory landscape. Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with ongoing change
