Job summary

Rock 'n Roll is seeking a skilled professional to enhance user experience through innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, strong 3D CAD skills, and hands-on prototyping experience.

Responsibilities include uncovering user insights, designing solutions for complex workflows, and collaborating closely with product management and visual designers. This role is located in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and involves working on high volume electronics projects.

Job Description

• Uncover what our customers are thinking and turn those insights into the best‑in‑class user experience
• Lead concept ideation and iteration with sketching, wireframe development, and prototypes
• Design elegant solutions to complex workflows
• Collaborate with product management and executives to prioritize the product roadmap
• Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders
• Collaborate with visual designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the product as appropriate, and collaborate with a product‑focused User Researcher to aid in the conduct of generative and evaluative research as needed
• Work on features and products through their entire lifecycle: user research, competitive analysis, product definition, usability testing, launch, and beyond
• Integrate UX research and design into our agile development process

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, MS preferred
• Experience with high volume, highly cosmetic electronics enclosure materials and manufacturing processes
• Experience integrating electromechanical component modules (audio, display, battery, antenna, PCB's, etc.)
• Strong 3D CAD skills (ProE preferred) including top‑down design, robust parametric modelling, and advanced surface generation
• Hands‑on experience with shop tools and prototyping
• Demonstrated project leadership and mentoring skills
