Fresenius Kabi USA is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end sourcing and supplier management for designated categories supporting manufacturing operations. The role focuses on cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity within a regulated environment.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive category-level planning.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5–10 years’ procurement/purchasing experience in industrial or medical production.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must travel 30% of the time and have a valid passport.
• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead execution of sourcing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with production timelines, cost targets, and plant-specific constraints.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and quality.
• Manage supplier selection decisions and supplier awarding.
• Lead contract negotiations, develop and execute Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Develop plans to establish continuity of supply for plant build plans and spare part demand.
• Ensure quality, delivery, order accuracy, and competitive pricing through follow-up with suppliers and end users.
• Provide feedback on supplier performance and recommendations on alternate materials.
• Visit suppliers to assess capability and liaise with supplier management at all levels.
• Conduct sourcing activities in compliance with company policy and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards.
• Maintain SAP purchasing data to support MRP requirements.
• Collaborate with SAP Data Administration to create material numbers and vendor profiles.
• Coach, train and mentor other employees.

Job Summary

Salary Range $95,000 to $105,000 Per Year dependent upon education and experience. An Annual Target Bonus of 6% is also included in addition to the base salary.

The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading end-to-end sourcing and supplier management activities across assigned categories in support of manufacturing operations. This role drives cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

The position partners cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and support business-critical initiatives. This role operates with a high degree of independence, managing complex sourcing events and contributing to category-level planning and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of sourcing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with production timelines, cost targets, and plant-specific operational and regulatory constraints.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and quality.
• Manage supplier selection decision making and supplier awarding.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, including development and execution of Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring alignment with business requirements, cost objectives, risk mitigation, and regulatory/compliance standards.
• Develop plans to establish continuity of supply in support of plant build plans and spare part demand plans..
• Ensure quality, delivery, order accuracy, and competitive pricing through continuous follow-up with suppliers and end users.
• Makes recommendations on the use of alternate materials, evaluate and provide feedback on supplier performance.
• Visits suppliers to assess supplier capability to meet quality, delivery and strategic requirements. Must deal with all levels of supplier management.
• Conducts sourcing activities in compliance with company policy and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, and ethical standard.
• Maintain SAP system purchasing data to ensure MRP requirements are generated in a proper manner.
• Work with SAP Data Administration team to create material numbers and vendor profiles in SAP.
• Coaches, trains and mentor other employees i.e. Procurement Specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5-10 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing in the industrial or medical application of production goods
• Strong negotiation, communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good Knowledge of SAP ERP
• Strong decision-making skills and high sense of urgency
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to travel a minimum of 30% of the time and have the ability to obtain a valid passport.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/ suppliers.
