Job summary

Copeland, a leading climate technology company, is seeking a Senior Procurement Program Manager in Sidney, OH. This hybrid role collaborates with engineering, operations, and suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget launches of next-generation platforms.

You will lead supplier onboarding and ramp-up for new platforms, develop the supply base, support make-vs-buy decisions, and drive risk management with dashboards and cross-functional reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 7+ years in procurement, supplier development, program management, or NPI sourcing in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain risk.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams on multi-phase programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • PM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier onboarding and ramp-up activities for new strategic platforms, ensuring readiness across quality, capacity, cost, and delivery.
  • Manage sourcing-related program timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Partner with engineering and operations to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier capability needs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional program reviews; escalate risks and drive timely resolution to maintain program execution.
  • Identify, assess, and develop suppliers aligned with emerging technologies and long-term strategic platforms.
  • Conduct capability and maturity assessments to validate supplier readiness.
  • Support dual-sourcing, localization, and resilience strategies to strengthen supply continuity.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Commodity Management, and Advanced Manufacturing to drive supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to sourcing strategies for new programs, including make-vs-buy analysis, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations.
  • Align supplier development with commodity roadmaps and enterprise procurement strategies.
  • Support cost modeling, early supplier engagement, and value engineering during product development.
  • Identify supplier risks early and lead mitigation planning.
  • Maintain program dashboards, supplier readiness metrics, and executive-level reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, sustainability requirements, and regulatory standards.
