Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience, preferably within food, ingredients, agricultural commodities, or CPG.
• Direct experience managing raw material commodities such as grains/wheat, corn, oils, proteins, or similar categories.
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, pricing, sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and supply risk management.
• Experience with RFx processes, supplier performance management, contracts, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for ingredients, raw materials, and commodities.
• Manage commodities such as grains/wheat, corn, oils, proteins, and other agricultural raw materials.
• Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, market conditions, and supply risks to support purchasing decisions.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract implementation using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, qualification, and development.
• Drive cost savings, PPV/IPV improvements, supply continuity, and procurement KPIs.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage commodity pricing and supply volatility.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory on sourcing and ingredient optimization.
• Manage spot buys, supply disruptions, and emergency sourcing activities.
• Lead and mentor one direct report.
